Behind the Lens
Chicago native Colette Custin Bevard is a technologist and freelance photographer.
Since 2017, she’s been covering various concerts, festivals and cultural events for several publications including Breaking Scene Media and In The Loop Magazine.
In the summer of 2025 she founded Girls Who Snap, a photography collective dedicated to empowering women in the field.
She also enjoys 35mm film photography and collecting vintage cameras.
Whether it's a Canon AT-1, Canon Mark IV, or an Instax Mini, chances are Colette has a camera in her hand.
